How to Apply
Before applying to CBGP, you must first apply and be accepted to one of our two core participating departments. Specific application information and requirements can be found on their departmental websites. Please state your desire to explore chemical biology research somewhere in the application to your home department.
Once you decide to come to Berkeley, the application is EASY!
Just send an e-mail to chembio@berkeley.edu with CBGP APPLICATION as the subject. Include a paragraph explaining why you are a good fit for the program. You do not need to fill out a CBGP specific application; your original application to your home department will be used for CBGP admission purposes.
Candidates will be notified of acceptance during the summer. The number of students accepted each year is determined by funding and the applicant pool. We generally average 10 students per incoming class.
If you have any questions about this process, please e-mail chembio@berkeley.edu
